ErgoMed, Occupational Health Services, offers a wide variety of medical services to the employment community including but not limited to the the following:
General medical services
- Pre-employment history and examination to document a worker’s suitability for a proposed job.
- Pre-employment testing geared to your industry and to meet legal requirements for designated substances surveillance as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Chart review or case conferencing with the workers attending physician for absenteeism and short-term disability problem cases.
- Illness treatment on short notice.
- Re-employment examination and testing to determine suitability for return to pre-injury job or modified job with or without accommodations.
Expert Medical Opinion
- Rapid referral for consultation and arranging of required tests on short notice.
Designated Substance Surveillance and Control Programs
- On-site blood lead levels and follow-up counseling if testing is abnormal.
- On-site Silica examinations and Pulmonary Function testing.
- Isocyanate Surveillance for exposed workers via a questionnaire and examination.
- On-site Audiogram, noise exposure questionnaire and examinations. Abnormal tests followed up and instructions regarding proper hearing protection given.
- Respiratory Hazard Assessment and respirator selection.
If desired, a corporate policy regarding workplace control and surveillance of any of the designated substances can be drafted as mandated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Confidential storage, of medical records and results from designated substances testing, remote from company property is available if no Occupational Health Department is available on-site.

- Blood work with 24 hr. turn around results.
- Electrocardiograms.
- Stress electrocardiograms for fitness assessment.
- Audiogram.
- Pulmonary function testing and chest x-rays.
